Feature event

The CBS Club of DC is a member of the Collaborative Alumni Angel Group, a cooperative "shark tank" consisting of Harvard, Wharton and Stanford MBA alumni in the Washington/Baltimore area. CAAG identifies promising ventures and invites the most interesting startups to present at monthly pitch meetings where alum have the opportunity to co-invest with greater leverage.

Referrals come from NIH officials and consultants, as well as CAAG members and co-chairs and direct applications to SOPE or CAAG. Our selection committee consisting of Dr. Jeff Hausfeld, Dr. Jay McCrensky, Dr. Stephen Wolpe and Dr. Shaoran Li has selected the following companies from the many presentation applications received:

•Reverse Ionizer, Inc. – A radio frequency (RF)-based technology, called Reverse Ionizer™ (“RI”), can provide a very effective alternative to chemicals for the treatment of scale, corrosion and biofilm in pipes and mechanical systems of commercial and industrial buildings and facilities.

•TenLoop – A mobile app based technology platform tracks driving behavior to distinguish and quantify good drivers from risky drivers.  The product is of interest to insurance companies to corporate fleets, to drive-share companies and other markets to track and reward good driving.

•WAEC –  An autonomous, patented ground drone delivery service that offers quick and low cost deliveries.  WAEC’s drones politely and respectively navigate sidewalks and crosswalks as they securely transport purchased items to customers.

Meeting Fees:
Free for CAAG and Society of Physician Entrepreneurs members, $10 for students and seniors, $15 for others
